My Child & I

Firstborn (to Dad): " Appa, can we return second-born at the hospital and exchange him for some other nice baby?"

Dad: (trying not to smile and making a serious face): " Why would you want to do that?"

Here's firstborn's top 5 list of reasons.

' He polished my white shoes with black polish'

' I was prostrating while praying, and he climbed on my back for a pony-ride'

' He took a bite off my yellow foam ball saying it looked like guava'

' He makes me get up from watching TV to switch on the restroom light for him, but then says no susu coming'

And the final complaint: "He keeps disturbing me by showing his (birthday/festival) goodies from his school when I'm doing my school-work. He gets goodies but all I get is homework!"

Second-born was unavailable for presenting his defense, as he was busy rinsing butter in the sink- The case has been adjourned for now.

My Child & I

Have been blogging forever about my sons' antics but for a change they've handed me a chance to brag about their actions.

Firstborn displayed immense maturity when he asked the X-Ray technician "I would like an adult with me when I take off my shirt. Could you please ask my Grandma to come in, please"?

Second-born showed great care & understanding when he handed his package of cookies to a homeless lady with an infant at the traffic-lights, saying "Give to baby also, OK?"

Sent a silent prayer skywards as my sons take small steps in making my post here a reality.
