Apple Mela at Lalbagh

Apple lovers rejoice- step into Lalbagh and you'll be spoilt for choice.

The State Horticulture Department, in association with National Horticulture Board, has organised Inter-State Horti Fair—Horti Sangam 2011 (Apple Mela) at the Lalbagh Botanical Garden.

There are 40 stalls at the mela selling all kinds of processed food, from farmers of these three States as wells as Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka.

A wide variety of apples, from more than 11 states across the country, are up for grabs. The apples are priced between Rs. 60 and Rs. 100 a kilo depending on the size, quality and variety.
