Chinnara Habba 2011


A celebration of childhood and a unique child expo, Chinnara Habba is all about giving the country’s future the best. Habba aims at being a complete package of information and education with lots of colour, fun and frolic.

Chinnara Habba presents a marvelous world for our brood: a world of books and pictures, animals and birds, colours and creative’s, dancing and singing: all the pleasures of different world under one roof.

This year's special attractions include A-Maze-Thing (a live game show for parents and their wards), Adventure Zone (a game zone for children aged over eight), Pet Zone that will have rabbits, guinea pigs, pocket monkeys, ostriches and emus, Aquatic Zone (an aquarium), Scary House and the Wonder La Boating Zone.

Talent shows

On the cards is a talent show for children to display their skills in dancing, singing, playing instruments, reciting poetry and so on. It will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on November 24, 25 and 26.

The MSIL Talent Hunt, which is an exclusive dance competition with group performances, will be held on November 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The top three winners will get cash prizes. For details, call Arul on 9964940913.

A special ramp walk for children and their mothers will be held on November 27 between 5.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. The contest will be judged by celebrities.For details, call Reena on 9986654243.

Other competitions include Ginny and Jony budding designers (November 26 and 27, call 26601049/ 9060355598) and Edify School Kidz Art, the theme of which is Deepavali Night (November 25).

To stimulate children's creative instincts, workshops on pottery, calligraphy, clay modelling, origami and papier-mâché will also be held.
