‘Ramanavami’

As part of ‘Sri Ramanavami’ celebrations of Sri Ramabhaktasabha, a Carnatic classical music recital by Seetha Satynarayana and team will be held at Srikanteshwarabhavana, 5th Cross, Malleswaram on March 23, 6.30 pm. She will be accompanied by M S Govindaswamy on the violin and M A Krishnamurthy on mridangam.

‘Swarayatra’

‘Ramotsava’

Vocalist Sangeetha Srikishen is performing at the Vasantha Navarathri Sree Ramotsava celebration on March 31, 6.15 pm at Sri Rama Mandira, 9th Cross, East Park Road, Malleswaram as part of ‘Sree Rama Navami Concert Series’. Accompanying her is B Raghuram on violin, B S Anand on mridangam and Sri Gurumurthy on ghatam.

‘Shakthi’

The Kala Premi Foundation will present Shakthi, an all women ensemble by Seetha Sathyanarayana (vocal), C S Usha (violin), Ranjini Venkatesh (mridangam), Vasavi Taranath (ghatam), Bhagyalakshmi M Krishna (morsing) on March 25, 6 pm at Seva Sadan, Malleswaram.

Valuable lessons

C V Nagaraj Memorial Trust and the Indian Institute of World Culture are presenting ‘Mysore as a seat of classical music’, a musical lecture-demonstration with audio-video clips and instrumental accompaniments by author Vikram Sampath on March 25, 6 pm at the Indian Institute of World Culture, B P Wadia Road, Basavanagudi.

As part of the Ugadi Utsava, a Carnatic vocal concert by R K Padmanabha will be held on March 25, 5 30 pm to 9 pm at Kuvempu Kalakshetra, Vokkaligara Sangha, K R Road, V V Puram. C N Chandrasekhar will be on violin, C Cheluvaraj on mridangam and Vishwanath Nakod on tabla.
