The Reading Corner at the Green Bazaar is an extension of the online campaign ‘Read With Me’ on The Alternative, to encourage reading among children and to talk about books as a way of talking larger issues and broaching difficult subjects with children.
Hippocampus and The Alternative will put together a reading corner featuring
• A space for children of all ages to come and spend time reading good books curated for the campaign
• A set of small activities that will engage the children around sensitive topics.
• Storytelling and engagement sessions for the children
• Lists, packages and catalogues for parents to explore suitable books for their children
