Hands of India : Handloom Exhibition


The second edition of the HandsOfIndia 2013 Bangalore Exhibitions. The exhibition will bring to you the best in hand-crafted apparels and home furnishings, made by various artisan groups literally from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Along with our much loved range of handloom apparels and sarees, hand-embroidered and hand-block printed around the country, we will be introducing a new range of Vintage Chanderis, perfect for the upcoming festive/wedding season.


1) A huge range of Ikat, Bagru(vegetable-dyed hand prints from Bagru, Rajasthan) dupattas starting at Rs 650.
2) Single count yarn sarees from Orissa. Absolutely easy to drape and maintain as compared to the Sambhalpuri ones which are made from mercerised yarn.
3) A select range of Silk Threadwork sarees from Orissa
4) A new range of Vintage Chanderis, featuring an extinct form of weaving called – ‘do-naali’. In truly bright and festive colours.
5) Double sided reversible jackets
6) A new range of Phulkari kurtas made in collaboration with NIFT designer Nishi Sigh and our artisan groups from Punjab.
7) Handpainted Sarees
8) Lehriya Suit Sets – A beautiful form of tie-and-die called ‘Leheriya’ from Udaipur Rajasthan. Introducing 3 piece suit sets.
9) Fine applique from Aligarh called Pattiwork – on Mangalgiri Sarees. Absolutely stunning sarees for this festive season. Painstaking work, but very few sarees would look this good.
10) A big range of Kantah blouse pieces – perfect for gifting this Navarathri/Diwali.
