A joint effort by the University of Agriculture Sciences, Bangalore and
Garden City Farmers (founded 3 years ago by Dr. B.N. Viswanath, an
organization which is known for its passionate pursuit of its mission
towards promoting Organic Urban Horticulture, especially Organic
Roof-Top Gardening - represented by the popular fb group - Organic
Terrace Gardening) - on the 27th and 28th of October 2013.
The Urban Krishi Mela, the first of its kind in the country is being organized with the commendable purpose of sowing the seeds of transformation in the mind set of urbanites to use their spaces for the betterment of their health and their surroundings and thus working towards building a conscientious urban community.
This national level seminar will consist of Paper presentations, Poster Presentations, exhibits and field visits. In addition, it will have a mela with variety of stalls.
The mela is free for visitors. Should you wish to participate as a delegate, you will need to register.
