Aim for Seva, an NGO that works with a few thousand rural and tribal kids,is planning a Mela as a Fund raiser on 22nd Sept, 10am-8pm, at St Marks Cathedral,MG road.
It would be an engaging environment with a variety of activities,both on and off the stage including musicians playing the Dhol (Drums) to awaken your soul and transport you to a village in Punjab, DJs of repute all day long, folk and traditional dance groups with tremendous energy(Bhangra), and vibrant colors all around. To satisfy the Punjabi palate, there will be a variety of authentic Punjabi food from well-known local restaurants. To engage the kids, while the Moms shop till they drop with the numerous carefully selected vendors, we have pot making, face painting and other activities. Dont forget to take a family portrait on a tractor in Punjabi garb and make it a life long memory. Win Raffle prizes (including a Trip to Goa and even Gold coins), or take part in a Flash mob !!!
