ABAI Fest 2015: Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics film festival

ABAI Fest – India’s biggest Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics film festival held annually in Karnataka, India with the support of Government of Karnataka is a confluence of Indian and Global Digital art industry. Fest is an ideal platform for artists from various backgrounds across the globe to come together to celebrate the art of digital storytelling and exchange ideas. ABAI Fest 2015 is scheduled to be held on 6th, 7th and 8th of February 2015 at Hotel Taj West End, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. This edition of Fest will witness contests with international participation, workshops, film screenings, Best of content from best of the film festivals from various countries and Game zones.

Events at Kaikondrahalli Lake
Kaikondrahalli Lake spread over 48 acres, 23 guntas on Sarjapur Road, is
a bio-diverse ecosystem. Lake works are funded by BBMP, managed by
MAPSAS trust and supported by the surrounding communities.
Will have two events, approved by the Lake Monitoring Committee, at the lake on Saturday 15th March at 4.30pm.
1)Anitha Supreeth and Priya Mani will conduct a story session followed by a small game for kids 3 to 10 years old. This will be held at the amphitheatre.
2) Rashmi Hari and Parvathy Eshwaran will lead a Nature Photography Tour starting at the gate opposite Kusum Delux Hotel. Kids above the age of 10 will have to come with their own cameras and they will be led around the lake to shoot pictures. Each kid will choose their best click and caption it. The pictures along with their caption will be uploaded onto this Facebook page.

Picnic basket 'Grandparents day'
Savour the essence of
picnics and revive traditions with your grandparents on Sept 8, Sunday
lovingly called as Grandparents day. Layout your mat, open the basket,
play with kids around and explore true innocence that seems to fade away
in this digital culture. Fun games, lucky draw, art contest are all in
the pipeline.
If you feel the basket is tedious..give us a shout and with ample response, we can make magic happen with some fun food stalls for your taste buds. But for that I need the shout :)
Things you must bring:
Happy mat, picnic basket with yum food/ snacks, juice, water, visiting card (for the lucky draw), crayons/color pencils, your playful innocent attitude, love for a green expanse, a story to share, that journal to chronicle a new tradition with your parents/ grandparents/ kids/ grand kids.
Entry: Rs 200 per person. Kids below 5 years - free.

Cavalry Cottage experience for these few hours, a fun tree deck, the ever entertaining sand pit, the calmness of a water feature and if you show us your excitement, then may be some food :)

12. WINDMILL
Kids learn the concept of conversion of mechanical energy into electrical energy. An array of live working wind mills will be installed at the venue. Participants will get hands on experience to observe a working windmill by rotating the blades of the windmill to observe the amount of electricity produced. Participants will be given a free 16 page book on science fair projects (A5 size)

13. ROBOTICS
Race a powerful robot round a challenging obstacle course. Once you’ve seen what a robot is capable of, build your own in a special workshop where you will learn how to construct, design and build a Rampaging Chariot from scratch. Once driven, never forgotten!

14. AEROMODELLING
The main concept is to help kids, build their own model air craft’s and race them or simply play with them on your own.

A roller coaster of the best demonstrations based around taking everyday objects and cooling them down first to dry ice temperatures and then to liquid nitrogen temperatures. Everyday objects take on peculiar properties for example a frozen banana becomes a hammer.
