‘Where Did I...’
‘Where Did I Leave My Purdah?’, a comic-drama written by Mahesh Dattani, and which outlines the travails and triumphs of an 80-year-old actress against the backdrop of Partition and the present, will be held at Ranga Shankara on December 15 and 16, at 3.30 pm and 7.30 pm on both the days.

Eddelu and ‘The Lady Minus Macbeth’, a comedy and a tragedy, will be staged at Ranga Shankara on December 13, 7.30 pm. Eddelu is inspired by a monologue by the Nobel prize-winning Italian playwright, Dario Fo. It is a humorous depiction of a day in the life of a young working mother. The second play ‘The Lady Minus Macbeth’ looks at William Shakespeare’s tragedy ‘Macbeth’ from the point of view of his wife. Evam will present a play titled, ‘Art by Evam’, on December 14, 7.30 pm. This play is a hilarious tale about three friends and a plain white painting. There will also be a unique stand-up style show, ‘Indians: We are like this wonly’ on December 15, 7.30 pm. This will feature performances by Karthik Kumar, Yudi, Naveen, Rajiv and Aswin Rao. There’s another stand-up show titled, ‘Battle of the SEXes’, on December 16, at 3.30 pm and 7.30 pm.
