Raagavalli: Introducing new compositions for music an dance.
This month we are going to present aShTanaayikaa padaM-s composed in Kannada and Telugu.
In the world of NaatyaShaastra, the concept of aShTanaayikaa-s is too well known and yesteryear musicians too used to sing the padam-s masters like kShEtrayya andn SaaraMgapaaNI. Now a days it has only remained with the dancers and day by day, even here the survival rate is fast depleting. In such a gloomy background, here is a bold and refreshingly new attempt to revive the past glory by composing fresh and challenging padam-s which are rich in terms of both music and lyric leading to lilting vocal rendition rewarding in terms of musical novelty and picturesque dance highly imaginative from the view point of rasa-bhaava.
