“The MAHAMAYA Festival” a festival of Indian traditional dance.

MAHAMAYA’, a festival of Indian traditional dance has been conceptualised to showcase the rich Indian dance heritage along with engaging the Underprivileged section of the society progressively and positively through dance education.
As part of ‘MAHAMAYA’, ‘Belaku’ a Dance Education project has been launched at the ‘Anatha Shishu Sevashrama’, an orphanage housing children from the age group of 1 to 17 years, The Aim is to help the children nurture and execute their creativity through this project. As a part of MAHAMAYA festival a platform is being created to showcase their talent.

Mahamaya School of Performing Arts is an institution engaged in dance education, performances and outreach programs. This platform has been created by the Directors, Surya N Rao and Prathama Prasad Rao to connect with the society through the medium of Dance. Mahamaya School of Performing Arts believes that Dance acts as a catalyst to nurture and nourish the society’s cultural sensibilities.

6:00 pm: ‘Pingara’ a Spectacular Dance Performance by Students of Project ‘Belaku’
(An initiative of Mahamaya School of Performing Arts)
6:30 pm: ‘SAMMILAN’ a unique bonding Jugalbandhi of Kuchipudi and Kathak
by Surya N Rao & Prathama Prasad Rao.
7:15 pm: ‘MAHABHARATA’ a Bharatanatyam Performance
by
Karnataka Kalashree Sri. Sridhar and Smt. Anuradha Sridhar.
