Welcome to The Art of Storytelling,
with one of the leading storytellers from the UK, Emily Parrish. In this
workshop, we will share the magic of creating and telling stories with
our voices and bodies. Along the way, get tips, challenges and
guidelines to help you create your own storytelling activities.

Who should attend - The workshop is recommended for teachers, trainers, parents and anyone who is interested in storytelling.
Registration Fee – Rs 2500 for members and Rs 3000 for non-members.
No. of Seats – 25 Registrations only. Registration is on first come first serve basis and it is confirmed only upon making the payment as we have a very limited number of seats.
Please note that the workshop will not have a lunch break and only light snacks will be provided.

Trainer brief: Emily Parrish
Emily Hennessey (previously Emily Parrish) is a performance storyteller dedicated to exploring the ancient art of storytelling as oral tradition within a contemporary context, playful, imaginative and daring to take risks, Emily tells myths, legends, epics, folktales, fairy tales and fables from around the world. Emily's work is described as 'intelligently composed and beautifully performed', while her storytelling style is said to be warm, captivating, bold and witty, delighting audiences of all ages.
Emily discovered the art of performance storytelling when at the University of Kent where she met storyteller, Vayu Naidu. Emily graduated in 2005 with a 1st class Master of Drama degree. She went on to complete a storytelling apprenticeship and work as Education Officer for Vayu Naidu Company.
