Dhaatu Puppet Theater @ Rangayana National Festival Mysore

Dhaatu Puppet Theater is performing at the Rangayana Bahuroopi National Level Festival.

As part of the U.R. Ananthamurthy day, Dhaatu will be staging 'Dharmavyadha' a string Puppet Show & "Bhakta Prahlada" a puppet Theater at the Jnanapeeta Bahuroopi Natakotsava in Mysore. These will question

a. The existent caste system and male domination in the society of the Mahabharata period in Dharmavyadha and

b. The ideas and belief systems of the next generation ie. son v/s the father, where the ego of the father goes on to the extent of wanting to kill the son - in contrast with the surrender of the ego by the son- in the Puppet Theater, Bhakta Prahlada.
