Navadarshanam- Organization & Annual Meet

Navadarshanam ("New Vision") is a small organization, a registered charitable Trust operating near a small village 50 km south of Bangalore, India. It investigates ecological and spiritual alternatives to the modern way of living and thinking.

It's an excellent day trip to explore and learn about eco-friendly living. Here's your chance to visit them during their Annual Get-Together upcoming on Jan 26th (Thu-Republic Day).


Programme

10:00 to 11:45 am: BRUNCH, and you can then use the rest of this time to look around the campus, meet old friends, make new ones – and also place orders for your health foods requirement to be collected when you leave in the evening.

12:00 to 12:15 pm: Songs and dances presented by village children under Shoba Gopalan’s guidance

12:15 to 1:15 pm: “Sagun-Nirgun”: Poetry of Mira and Kabir. Music by Bharathi Balakrishnan and her daughter Sujata, with Ajai Hangal on tabla and Laxmi Narayan Bhat on harmonium. Poetry by Richa Mohan.

1:15 to 2:30 pm: Prof. Rajagopalan on the present environmental crisis and what YOU can do to mitigate it

2:30 to 3:30 pm: Explanation of practical ideas that people living in Bangalore can adopt in the areas of WATER, ENERGY, and WASTE MANAGEMENT. You can talk to resource persons regarding rainwater harvesting, solar DC systems, and zero waste management.

3:30 pm to 4:00 pm: Tea and farewell
