Ganjam Applauds the Rich Heritage of Carnatic Music with “Flights of Fantasy”
Ganjam presents the much-awaited “Flights of Fantasy”, a
three day Carnatic music and dance extravaganza at the Chowdiah Memorial Hall.
Held for the 16th consecutive year, Flights of Fantasy, an immensely
popular music festival, has become a part of the music calendar in Bangalore.
This
year’s festival will see performances by distinguished and renowned Carnatic
musicians including Sri Ganesh and Sri Kumaresh (violin duet), Harikatha
exponent Smt Vishaka Hari and dance ballet by Smt Nirupama and Sri Rajendra.
Flights of
Fantasy
Since its inception in 1997, Flights of
Fantasy has steadily gained popularity as one of Bangalore’s most looked
forward to cultural events. The event is a testimony of Ganjam’s commitment to
keeping alive the tradition and heritage of Indian classical music and dance.
Ganjam hosts Flights of Fantasy on an annual basis to provide a platform to
encourage and promote talent from across the country.
