One minute a bright glowing orb, as you struggle to straighten it up, waiting for it to bloat up with hot air. The next, it's a flickering light – red, green, yellow, blue – soaring up in the sky… Come, light the night up.
Tinkerbell Entertainment
presents LightTheNite, a month-long celebration of peace and prosperity
as a run up to the grand Diwali celebrations, with a twist!
Beginning 13th of October right up to the 12th of November '12 LiteTheNite will travel 20 cities across India and invites you to help spread the message of peace that glows. We aim to set off a few thousand sky lanterns in each of these cities with you in the spotlight!
What's more? December will witness the grand finale with 15000 lanterns up in each city at the same time on the same day to set a new Guinness World Record! Over 10000 youngsters have registered to volunteer at the event and ensure you make the most of LiteTheNite!
Create a noiseless and beautiful world this festive season with the grand spectacle.
LiteTheNite will be an annual event and intends to keep setting a new record! The goosebump-inducing sight is not without a cause: we will rescue the nimble hands used in the manufacture of fire crackers at Sivakasi as labour, rehabilitate and educate these kids. 80% of the proceeds from the events will go to the Vanka Foundation which will spearhead this activity.
Come, help save the planet, save the children, and save the future!
