Autism is the fastest growing, most common childhood disorder today. About one in 150 children are diagnosed with it in the U.S. every year. The event offers a 5K timed run/walk and a 1-mile family fun walk. Proceeds will benefit programs and services for autistic children living in San Diego. | |

San Diego Science Festival 2010 kicks off with Family Science ay
Science Family Day at Balboa Park on 20 March, which kicks off the Science Festival, offers family-friendly science inspired adventures as part of this park-wide event.

Balboa Park December Nights is a popular, park-wide Christmas celebration featuring sparkling lights, color and music with traditional celebrations and holiday-themed entertainment areas. In the spirit of the holidays, participating Balboa Park museums open their doors free of charge from 5 to 9 p.m.
Entertainment and holiday cheer are all part of this classic San Diego celebration-including food from around the globe at the International Christmas Festival at the House of Pacific Relations Cottages; unique gift shopping at the museum stores and with the artisans of Spanish Village; international choirs, musical and dance presentations from the San Diego Junior Theatre, San Diego Civic Youth Ballet and others.
