Wholesome, raw-plant based nutrition provides energy, cleanses the
blood & builds an efficient body. The healing power in raw
food gradually eliminates our dependence on pharmaceutical drugs.
The workshop endeavors to explore health concepts & make food using unprocessed ingredients to cocreate nutritionally dense & delicious raw food recipes.
We'll mix up theory with practicals, & uncook/make food together over conversations about ecology & food politics that allow us to go deeper into the story of living naturally & sustainably through our food choices.
The sharing of stories would happen over glasses of freshly-blended juices & bowls of salads that include berries & crisp greens. The idea is to reconnect with our bodies as well as the earth through a discourse over food. And do so joyously.
About Raw Food :: Fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, nuts, sprouts & seeds not only contain sustainable amounts of carbohydrates, protein, & fat, but they have them in the percentages, ratios, & quality that are optimum for human health. Eating this food in its natural raw state builds up the body’s immunity & disposes of toxic waste. Short-term & chronic illnesses have been healed through integrating a proper raw diet with other healthful living practices.
Mona Gandhi, the facilitator, is a writer, media person & a raw foodist since May 2012. Diagnosed with cancer last year, she turned to the natural healing power of raw foods & maintains a daily food journal of every thing she eats. In the absence of elaborate research & data on the subject of raw foods, Mona’s projects are predicated on the empirical & intuitive knowledge she has accrued as a raw foodist. Her constant exploration of the world of raw foods enables & deepens her engagement with healing & sustainable living. As she continues to be attuned to her own body wisdom, her goal has changed from merely an absence of disease to wanting & working towards abundant health for herself and for the planet. Mona lives & works out of Mumbai.
See you there!

Stories in a Song
Stories in a Song features vignettes laced with humour and wit that tell
stories of music and music making from history, literature, and
theatre. The canvas of stories is rich and varied; a little known
musical footnote from the freedom struggle; an exuberant satire on
colonialism in the nautanki style; a poignant tale of a family of
working musicians struggling to adapt to changing tastes; the story of a
street smart modern day film composer who re-mixes an exquisite bandish
by a classical singer, are only some of the gems performed by a group
of enormously talented actor-singers.
